Hi JV parents. THis weekend a few of our racers will be competing in the historic Hovey race at Whiteface. The rest of our racers will be training at Gore. For those traveling to the Hovey, please meet Jeff Long at the fireplace in the main lodge at 8:30 am. Be sure to take a few runs away from the race course and enjoy the terrain that Whiteface has to offer.
Training at Gore will continue as usual. Please be aware that program starts at 8:30 am sharp!.
Last Friday we conducted baseline skills testing. We will use these evaluations to shape our training throughout the season and will be reevaluating later in the season with the goal of measuring for growth in skiing skills. Remember while the races are fun, our goal as a program is to create good fundamentally skilled skiers who can be successful later in their racing careers due to the good base they were given at the V's level.
